It hasn’t even been a month since U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson discussed rising tensions in the Aegean with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu at the Munich Security Conference and Turkey’s right back to its usual bullying tactics over the Aegean. The latest provocation taking place this past Monday, just southeast of the island of Rhodes while the Greek President visited the island.
We, at the American Hellenic Council, say, enough is enough. For the past two years, the Aegean has witnessed an unprecedented rise in aggressive and provocative behavior by a growingly unstable Turkey, whose politicians openly threaten Greece.
It is time to mobilize our community to action, to show the Trump administration and Turkish President Erdogan that the safety and stability of the Aegean isn’t open to debate. Please take a moment to follow the link below (by clicking the Button), and write your elected officials in Congress to demand the United States stand with Greece against the bullying tactics of a growingly undemocratic Turkish state.
